With current federal and state incentives it is possible to have up to 70% of the installation cost of your solar energy system paid by state and federal grants and incentives.

Additionally, those eligible for the TVA Generation Partners Program will be paid $0.12 above the retail rate ($.09 average currently) for all the power generated by your Solar Energy System.   For example, if the GSA-1 rate for your location is $.09/kWh (what you are currently charged for electricity you use) then you would be paid $0.21/kWh (your $.09/kWh plus $.12/kWh the TVA, Generation Partners Incentive for all electricity generated by your system.

Listed below are some of the current grants/incentives that you might be eligible for:

Federal - 30% Investment Tax Credit/30% Treasury Dept. Renewable Energy Grant

Federal - 25% REAP Grant (for small business and agriculture)

TVA - Start Up Cost Incentive $1000

TVA -  Generation Partners Program allows for the purchase of power generated at $.12 per kWh above current rate (participating utilities)

 When eligible many of these incentives can be combined, for example your installation might be eligible for a 40% TN grant and a 30% Federal grant, as well as the TVA start up incentive of $1000 and the TVA Generation Partners program generation incentive.
